1. What time is check in and check out? Can I
check in earlier or check out later? Our check
in time is 3pm or later and check out is 11am. If your
cabin or site has not been rented the night before, you
may check in earlier at 12pm. Be sure to call us at (931)
277-3800 to make sure we can accommodate your early check
in.
2. Are campfires allowed? Do you sell
firewood?
Campfires are allowed at campsites in designated fire rings. We sell firewood at the campground office for $5 for 10 pieces. Free delivery to your campsite offered for purchases of $20 or more.
3. What are my
options for payment? We accept cash,
MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and debit
cards. A credit or debit card will be required for a
security deposit on rental units. Sorry no checks are
accepted.
4.
What is your cancellation policy? A $10 cancellation fee will be charged when more than 2 weeks' notice is given. If a reservation is canceled within 2 weeks of the arrival date, one night stay will be charged. For reservations of 1 month or longer, a $200 cancellation fee will be charged regardless of how much notice is given.
5. Are you pet
friendly?
Davy Crockett Campground is pet friendly.
We do not charge an additional fee for pets staying at
your site. However, we do charge a $20 per night (up to 3 nights) pet fee for our cabins and RVs.
6. Can I have visitors while camping? Visitors are welcome
at Davy Crockett Campground. Day passes must be purchased
at the Reception Outpost upon their arrival.
7. Can I request my favorite site? You
can request a specific site and we will do our
best to accommodate. However, we can only guarantee a site
type, not a specific site.
8. Can I go directly to my campsite upon arrival? All campers must check in upon arrival. You can check in at the Reception Outpost during business hours or self check in is available 24 hours a day.
9. Am I allowed to
set up an additional tent on my RV site? A tent
can be set up on your RV site. However, an
additional occupancy fee will apply to sites with more
than two adults and two children.
10. What size RVs do your sites accommodate? What
type of hookups do you have? Most of Davy Crockett
Campground's sites are 50-60 ft long, but we do have sites
up to 100 ft in length. Our campsites have water, 30 or
50 amp electric and sewer.
11. Are mopeds, motorbikes, motorized scooters,
ATVs or ORVs allowed?
Unfortunately our insurance does not permit these vehicles
to be driven at Davy Crockett Campground.
12. Is swimming allowed in Cherokee
Lake? While swimming is not allowed in
Cherokee Lake, we do have a salt water pool.
13. When are your quiet hours? Our quiet hours are Sunday
through Thursday 10pm to 8am and Friday and Saturday 11pm
to 8am.
14. Is smoking
allowed?
Smoking is allowed in all outdoor areas including the Swimmin' Hole, all pavilions and porches. However, smoking is not permitted inside the Indoor Hot Tub, Trails End Restaurant, both bathhouses, Reception Outpost or rental units.
15. Are
fireworks or firearms permitted? Fireworks and
firearms are prohibited at Davy Crockett Campground.
16. How can I dispose of my grey water?
Tennessee state law prohibits the dumping of grey water
onto the ground. However, we do have sewer connections at
most of our campsites. In addition, we have a dump station
that is free of charge for guests.
17. Is
fishing allowed in Cherokee Lake? Do I need a fishing
license? Catch and release fishing is allowed
in Cherokee Lake. Guests are not required to have a
fishing license.
18. Are alcoholic
beverages allowed at Davy Crockett Campground?
You are permitted to have alcohol on your campsite.
